I’m an 23 (born 24th of March, 1985) old geek and developer, I was born in Gothenburg but i spent the most of my childhood in a little town called Ludvika in Dalarna. At the age of fifteen my family moved back to Gothenburg and I spent seven years there. After that I made a small de-tour to Lund where I only spent a few months after which i settled down where I currently live just (~15 minutes) outside Stockholm in a place called Flemingsberg, with my brother, my cousin and her boyfriend. I did my first coding when I was around eleven in BASIC on a Intel 386 or 286 machine, Around -98 I did my first “web-programing” from scratch using nothing but notepad and plain HTML (CSS, what?). My interest for web-based development took over and even though I’ve done my fair bit of Assembly, C and Java coding I always end up coming back to the web platform one way or the other.
After playing around with a lot of different technologies I ended up with the classic LAMP-stack, and it’s how I make my living today at arenagrande.tv doing web- and streaming media- development. But working with PHP for the last couple of years haven’t stopped me from exploring other technologies such as Ruby (both with and without Rails) and more recently Python, which I’ve grown really fond of.
As a person I’ve always been straightforward and self-sufficient, both in my personal and professional life. All of my programming and computer skills are self taught from a lot of long nights in front of my, often, tens of computers. I’m used to working with most common linux/unix and windows technologies ranging from full stack frameworks such as .NET or the LAMP to project-specific technologies like Subversion, Trac, etc. I have a very good understand of object oriented design, principles and methodologies from everything between commonly used design patterns such as MVC and ActiveRecord to domain driven design and agile development ideologies. My primary language is Swedish, since I’m born here, with English as a close second. I also have a small understand of the German language after three years of studies in high-school.
